Meta is a lifelong Democrat who has lived in Will County for 24 years. She currently resides in Aurora with her husband, Mike, and their daughter, Olivia. She is a dedicated community organizer in various areas and has been actively involved in community service for many years. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Commercial Property and Residential Construction Manager for 18 years.

Since 2018, Meta has been serving on the Will County Board. During her tenure, she held the position of Majority Whip from 2019-2020 and Majority Leader from 2020-2022. She also served as the Chair of the Complete Count Census Committee, Vice Chair of the Executive Committee, and an Emergency Telephone System Board member. In 2023, she was appointed as the President of the Forest Preserve District of Will County and also as the Chairperson of Capital Improvements. Additionally, she was appointed as the Vice Chair of the Legislative Committee for the Will County Board.
